The Fair is a highlight of the school year, with a fantastic range of toys, activity & games stalls; prizes to win; festive food & drink and other surprises. It does need lots of help in the form of donations and time, but the more that goes in, the more the children get out of it!
Volunteers
First and foremost: in order to operate everything we’d like to offer, successfully and smoothly, we need as many people as possible to volunteer to help set up / take down and staff stalls and games.
We have a Volunteer Sheet, with all tasks broken down into (hopefully) manageable time slots. Please consider pitching in to help with the Fair – perhaps ‘tag teaming’ with another parent/carer of a child’s friend?
Raffle tickets will be sent home in book bags. Please complete and return to the school office with payment by Tuesday 28th November.
Thursday 23rd November:
Non-Uniform Day, in exchange for chocolate donations (no nuts please).
There will be donation boxes outside the school office, Breakfast Club and all other entrances.
Monday 27th November:
Toy donations!
We need very good-condition, complete (no broken / missing parts) toys for the secondhand toy stall, as well as clean, good condition soft toys for the cuddly toy cave. Donations will be collected at the school office.
Tuesday 28th November:
Raffle tickets must be back at the school office with payment.
Wednesday 29th November:
Token Pre-Sale: Fair tokens will be available to purchase (card only) from Matt at the school office, between 8.30-9am and 3-3.30pm.

Come along on Friday 6th October at 2pm to the room next to the school office to meet the PTA, chat about FrOGS success last year, discuss ideas for next year, confirm and meet the committee and find out how you can get involved.
We would be hugely grateful if we could fill the following roles this year, let us know if you can help at frogsptagroup@gmail.com
Co-chair person
Are you organised? Perhaps you could help organise some of our events and ensure a smooth running PTA.
Co-treasurer
Head for numbers? You could assist in the treasurer roll, paying expenses, invoices and helping handle the money raised at our fundraising events.
Pantry manager
Help relieve the pressure on families by managing the pantry. Keep it tidy, manage donation requests and shopping list from Pantry funds.
Comms manager Good communicator and love writing? Liaise with the office about comms to parents/carers. Message Class Reps to spread news/requests, update the FrOGS website and write posters to be designed to put up around school.
Class Reps
WhatsApp aficionado? If your class or year have a WhatsApp group we need people to pass on FrOGS messages and requests every now and then. Usually just a case of forwarding a message you will get from FrOGS to your class/year WhatsApp group and passing any questions back to the FrOGS team. Fill in this form to let us know if you can help: https://forms.gle/PTdMmeLzbYXFpDda8
Uniform Rep
Manage incoming uniform donations and sort into the FrOGS container and restock the Pantry uniform stock every now and then. Some regular uniform sales would be great too for new terms and new starters.
What else could you do!?
If you have a skill (and I think everyone does!) you could help FrOGS in some capacity. Just let us know!

Life is hard enough at the moment without worrying if you can clothe and feed your children. This is why FROGS and the School have worked together to plan the “Pantry” where families can take what they need, donate when they have spare and work together to reduce waste. The benefit of the pantry will hopefully reduce hunger in school (which affects learning) and relieve a bit of the pressures from a huge increase in cost of living recently.
The pantry will allow parents and carers to access the following items, when they need them:
Food – tinned and dried food
Hygiene products
Household items (toilet roll, toothpaste, etc)
School Uniform
Coats
Shoes
Inspired by Elm Grove School’s pantry, who we would like to thank for their help and advice setting up this venture, we hope that we can help families who need help as a school community.
While FROGS will fund initial stock, we really need help with donations of both money and consumables that we can pass on to the families who really need it. You can donate to FROGS online or you can contact us by email at frogsptagroup@gmail.com if you can help in any other way.
We need people that can help find and apply to grants to maintain and improve the pantry, find access to cheap hygiene products, and anyone who can donate a small amount regularly to help maintain stock levels – but any help is really appreciated.
All year groups may come to school in non-uniform on Thursday. Any accessories not suitable for school should be brought in a named carrier bag but this will be the child’s responsibility to look after.
Reception and KS1 disco.
Reception parents must attend with their children, Year 1 and 2 parents can not attend unfortunately. At the end of the disco, reception coats and bags will be on the side of the hall nearest the office, with exit through the main school entrance, Year 1 and Year 2 pick up will be through the hall doors to the left of the main entrance, with their bags & coats on this side of the hall too.
After School Club.
If your child is booked into After School Club, then they should be picked up from there. For example – if their disco finishes at 4:45, please continue to collect from ASC at 5pm. ASC will bring children to the disco should they want to attend. We need to know where the children are and this is the only way we can be sure.
If you need to nip to collect your child from an after school activity, let Matt Bee know and he can fill in or find someone to take over for a short time while you collect your children and take to the FROGS childcare in class 3L.
There will be no change available on the entrance door, if you want to send your entry donation in a sealed envelope, they will be collected during the day.
Food and drink There will be free squash and water for all children. There will be healthy snacks available for 30p (vegetarian and vegan options), hot dogs (vegetarian and standard) for £1 and cakes/bistcuits for 50p. There will be a limited number of hawaiian leis available for 50p too.
Collection after the discos
Please collect children promptly, as we will have to charge for After School Club if you’re running late, due to the short turnaround between the discos.
If there are any more questions, please email us at frogsptagroup@gmail.com
